KaCrole Higgins was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. “In May 2020, I found a lump in my breast. I cried. By June, it was diagnosed as breast cancer, triple positive, stage 1A. While getting this cancer diagnosis was devastating, it also became an opportunity. Suddenly, the cancer gave me clarity. It gave me clarity about what was important, what was good in my life, what was toxic in my life, and what I needed to do.” Click below to read more of KaCrole’s story |
If Landon Ryan had been diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma 10, 20 or 30 years ago, she might not be here today with nearly perfect vision. Thanks to recent improvements in the treatment for this rare form of cancer that almost exclusively affects children under the age of 5, the diagnosis had the power to change Landon’s life when she was 11 months old, but not to take it — or her eyesight. Self-Management for Head and Neck Lymphedema and Fibrosis [PROMISE Trial]
Head/Neck
Head/Neck
The goal of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a standardized lymphedema and fibrosis self-management program (LEF-SMP) to improve LEF self-management and reduce LEF-associated symptom burden, functional deficits, and improve quality of life in head and neck cancer (HNC) survivors.

Cemiplimab and Quad Shot Radiation for Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma in the Head and Neck
Multiple Cancer Types
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if the combination of the drug cemiplimab along with a short course of radiation therapy called Quad Shot can be successfully given in several rounds to elderly or frail patients with head and neck skin cancers. The main question it aims to answer is:
\- Can care providers successfully deliver at least 6 rounds of cemiplimab and 3 rounds of Quad Shot radiation to patients?
Patients will:
* Be given cemiplimab every 3 weeks for a total of up to 8 doses
* Be given Quad Shot radiation (four treatments over two days) every 3 weeks for a total of up to 4 rounds

Long-Term Follow-Up Study After Gene-Modified Cell Treatment in Kite Studies
Multiple Cancer Types
The goal of this clinical study is to learn more about the long-term safety, effectiveness and prolonged action of Kite study drugs, axicabtagene ciloleucel, brexucabtagene autoleucel, KITE-363, KITE-753, KITE-197, anitocabtagene autoleucel, INT2104, KITE-512, ACLX-001, and ACLX002 in participants of Kite-sponsored interventional studies.
The primary objectives of this study are to:
* Evaluate the incidence and severity of related SAEs, late-onset targeted AEs/SAEs suspected to be possibly related to gene-modified cell therapy, including neurologic disorders, new autoimmune disorders (which are distinct from the study-treated disease), hematologic disorders, serious infections, as well as any new malignancies (regardless of causality)
* Evaluate the growth, development, and sexual maturity of pediatric and adolescent participants treated with gene-modified cell therapy.

Casdatifan for the Treatment of Refractory Metastatic Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma
Kidney (Renal Cell)
Kidney (Renal Cell)
This is a single-institution, pilot study of oral casdatifan, a selective HIF-2 inhibitor, in patients with metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma refractory to prior IO- and VEGF-based therapies. This phase I trial evaluates the effects of casdatifan on certain genes linked to kidney cancer growth and tests it for the treatment of clear cell renal cell cancer that has not responded to previous treatment (refractory) and that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic).
Casdatifan may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

Window Trial of Fluorescently Labeled Nivolumab-IRDye800 (Nivo800) in High Grade Glioma (HGG)
Multiple Cancer Types
High-grade gliomas (HGGs) are among the most aggressive and treatment-resistant brain tumors. Immunotherapy with checkpoint inhibitors like nivolumab has shown promise, but its efficacy remains variable and poorly understood in this patient population. This clinical trial investigates a novel imaging-enabled formulation of nivolumab-IRDye800 (nivo800) which incorporates a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent dye to enable real-time visualization of drug distribution within tumor tissue.
