PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE

Research Advocacy

Cancer survivors and caregivers provide a unique perspective and play an important role in helping researchers bring the best science to those affected by cancer.  The Research Advocacy program provides opportunities for advocates to participate and contribute to the research process and outcomes for future patients.

Community Outreach and Engagement at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center

Community Outreach and Engagement integrates with Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center's research programs and administrative initiatives to reduce the cancer burden within the catchment area and beyond. In a bi-directional manner, leveraging relationships with patients and community stakeholders, Community Outreach and Engagement obtains input from the community on priorities for research, cancer control and care and works with the center's research programs and community partners to bring those prioritized initiatives out to the community.

Clinical Trials at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center

At Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, we are dedicated to developing new and better cancer care options through continued commitment to clinical trials. Patients seek out our center because of our extensive range of trials, expert specialists, active Phase I program and supportive team that’s at their side every step of the way. Some goals of a clinical trial are to identify a disease or disorder, control or manage a disease, prevent an illness, cure a disease or disorder, and determine the safety or effectiveness of new drugs or treatments.
