Urological Cancers
Overview
Urologic cancers affect the urinary tract in individuals of any sex, including the bladder, kidneys, and urethra, as well as male reproductive organs.
Bladder cancer originates in the cells lining the bladder, while kidney (renal) cancer begins in cells within the kidneys. Urethral cancer is rare and develops in the tissues of the urethra, the tube that carries urine out of the body.
Information about penile, prostate, and testicular cancers can be found on our Testicular and Prostate Cancers page.
